Kiswire Cord Czech s.r.o.

System for Streamlining Communication and Processing

Kiswire is a global manufacturer of steel wires and cables based in the Triangle Industrial Zone near Žatec. In October 2019, the company implemented a call-up system for trucks.

A simple yet effective solution

Upon arrival at the parking lot, drivers stop across from the hall where the LED display is located. Registration takes place at a self-service kiosk located in the gatehouse. The registration interface is designed to be as intuitive as possible and is available in several languages. This allows drivers to quickly find their way around and register, even without prior experience. A custom interface was created for staff to call up and navigate to the check-in location, based on an analysis of the system. With a single click, the next person waiting in line can be called up. This places virtually no additional burden on the staff, allowing them to devote their time entirely to check-in. When a driver is called up, the display shows the queue number assigned during registration. The call-up is supported by a location-based SMS sent to the phone number the driver provided during registration, which includes further details regarding the check-in process. Statistical data on the number of vehicles processed, wait times, processing duration, and other monitored parameters are, of course, provided.

The QTIR call-up system solution we implemented has sped up and simplified the truck check-in process.

Smoothness and clarity in the check-in process

After the system was put into practice, unnecessary communication between drivers and staff was minimized. Staff also have a constant overview of registered vehicles and their current status. The entire check-in process has thus become more transparent and smoother. The system’s deployment was supported by an analysis, which ensured that the installation and implementation went quickly and without complications.
