CS-BETON s.r.o.
Comprehensive system for a manufacturing company
A comprehensive system was implemented in December 2018 for CS Beton, a major manufacturer of concrete products. The entire solution is custom-built according to the client’s needs and addresses the clearance and routing of vehicles providing both material supply and dispatch of finished products.
Automation in every step of the check-in process
On arrival at the facility, the vehicle is identified by reading the license plate number. It is then navigated to an available space using the parking system. Thanks to the individual interconnection of the customer information system and the check-in system, no additional administrative burden for the operator is created. After parking, the driver walks to the self-service kiosk where he or she registers in the queue waiting to check in without further interaction with the staff. A kiosk with different configurations is available to call up a specific vehicle. Instead of a serial number ticket printer, the kiosk is equipped with an employee RFID card reader. The reader makes it easy and fast for warehouse workers to check in and out. Working with the interface and the call-up itself is intuitive and registered clients can be called up for check-in almost instantly within two clicks. Call-up information is displayed on four outdoor large screens and the client is directed to the premises via the gatehouse. Here, depending on the type of vehicle, certain conditions must be fulfilled for entry or exit clearance. These include license plate reading, RFID identification, EAN code, material type registration, weighing, loading area photos, gatekeeper checks, etc. Also included are, for example, VIP license plates, which are allowed to enter automatically without any operator interaction.
A comprehensive solution with a great degree of automation that met expectations.
General opinion – company staff team
Efficient and faster check-in
Once the system was in place, the check-in process was simplified and accelerated by identifying number plates and automating the registration process. Warehousemen have an immediate overview of waiting clients and clients know what to do thanks to the automatically transmitted information. This makes the entire check-in process faster and smoother. Following the introduction of the system, the capacity of the clients being handled has gradually increased. The data collected can then be evaluated retrospectively and, based on this information, the client is able to identify any additional areas where improvements could be made to streamline other processes, not just check-in.
